Visitor Tips

Go on a weekday morning if you want to see looms working, not only showrooms. Carry cash for smaller weaver homes and bargaining is not always expected on high-quality silk — know approximate market rates. Ask before photographing people at the loom. Combine with Hajo on the same north-bank day to avoid two separate long drives. Pure pat and muga pieces cost real money; beware of mixed fibres sold as pure if the price seems too low.
